Happy National Volunteer Week!!!

And you thought we forgot.  Are you kidding?!  That would be impossible!

Our volunteers are among the best volunteers in Richmond and we are so blessed to have every one of them.  We thank them for their dedication, contributions, personalities and energy.  Without our volunteers, we would NOT exist – literally!

Here are some photos from our 35th Anniversary Celebration this past March, honoring the work of our volunteers.  They are beyond amazing and we are so grateful – Julie

Our friend, Bill Lohmann, joined us at lunch today to talk about his new book, DR. COPTR: The Flying Physician Who Kept His Promise to Tangier Island.  As always, it was a wonderful time and I think Bill left us happy, well fed, and with a piece of PIE to boot!

Thanks to Susie, for taking such fine care of our speaker, and to Bill, for recording such a fantastic piece of history!Bill Lohmann Susie Wiltshire 4-4-19

Thank you Bill Lohmann!

What a fantastic article about our Betty Ann!  Thank you Bill – you are such a good friend to The Shepherd’s Center and to the Richmond area.  One of our volunteer instructors commented on this article, saying that Bill Lohmann is certainly the best regular column left for us to learn of local gifts in our community and beyond.  We agree!

I just had to share this with our website subscribers!  Westminster Cantebury celebrated Valentine’s Day with the renewal of wedding vows.  Four couples participated, including our own Bill and Miriam Blake. Watch the video HERE – it’s heartwarming.
